Gassano/Fivizzano, is quaint, fascinating, near Cinque Terre, Pisa, Lucca, Florence (which can be visited by car but we recommend the local trains--inexpensive, convenient, gorgeous views). Studio apartment was clean, newly remodeled, good quality. Owners were very responsive, helpful and provided good service. We stayed two weeks and recommend this property.

These properties are real medieval buildings in a picturesque walled hilltop village in northern Tuscany. They have been renovated to a high standard and are equipped with all conveniences. They are clean and well maintained. The village is hidden away in a peaceful location, with the nearest large shops about 15 minutes away by car, and the coast around an hour. The owner was very helpful to us when we had some problems, and was always on the end of the phone, as was a nearby housekeeper. I would recommend this property, and the nearby Equi Terme spa.
